What PPF means on StockView
Here PPF means Personal Provident Fund: a general savings projection in Bangladeshi taka. It is not India’s Public Provident Fund or a Bangladesh government scheme. The tool helps you test a personal annual savings plan without implying statutory eligibility, a lock-in period or a tax benefit.
Annual fund projection method
The starting fund earns the assumed annual return. Each year’s deposit can be made at the beginning or end of that year. The contribution can increase by a chosen percentage after each year.
Closing fund = (opening fund + beginning deposit) × (1 + return) + ending deposit. Only one deposit timing is used in a scenario.
Worked personal fund example
Start with ৳0 and contribute ৳100,000 each year for two years at an assumed 10% annual return. End-of-year deposits produce ৳210,000; beginning-of-year deposits produce ৳231,000. This illustrates why contribution timing matters. Neither return is guaranteed.
Choose realistic assumptions
Compare a conservative return and a lower-contribution scenario with your main plan. Results are nominal amounts before inflation, fees and tax. The model assumes a steady annual rate and no withdrawals. Real investments may earn uneven or negative returns; a smooth projection is not a forecast of market performance.
